Love in the Time of cholera - Chapter 3

My feelings about the chapter 3 were really weird, i thought that the history took a really sad but real route, because it talks about marriages that have no love in them, marriages that have a mutual benefit in an economic way, that is what happened between Fermina and Juvenal, and this chapter also touched the topic of the cholera that a man (in this case Florentino) can feel when the woman that he loves is getting married with another man, this also applies in the other around, a woman that can't be with the man she loves, the case is that we as humans can feel really awful when we can't be with the person we love, we tend to do bad or sad things for love, like drinking, enclose ourselves and in this case try to fill that empty espace in our hearts with other people but that almost never works. This last thing also leaves Florentino as a cheater, because he broke the promised that he told Fermina, although he dissociates love from sexual relationships. At the end, we can see that although Fermina did not love Juvenal at the beginning and also didn't agree with the arranged marriage, she ended up feeling something for him.
